This photograph captures the White-breasted Nuthatch, a small songbird native to most of North America. They are known to be very quick-moving, agile and curious birds often known to forage on trunks and large limbs of trees, climbing and exploring every surface they find. They will regularly store the food they find in bark crevices in their territory during the winter and fall months. They are also known to be attracted to bird feeders and will visit them regularly.
