This photograph captures the silhouette of an airplane against the dazzling light of the full moon in the dark sky. Full moons for centuries have always had some sort of cultural significance. For example, the ancient Greeks believed that the moon was the goddess Luna and every night she would drive her chariot across the sky (the lunar cycles) bringing madness to her non-believers. The word "lunatic" is a direct variation of her name. Nowadays, we're the ones who ride through the night sky, even though airplanes aren't as awe aspiring and imaginative as chariots.
